Instructions:
Prepare the Philly Cheesesteak filling:
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a bit of olive oil or butter.
  2. Season the thinly sliced steak with Umami All Purpose Seasoning to better taste.
  3. Cook the steak slices in the skillet until browned and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté the sliced bell peppers and onions until softened and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
Make the Mac and Cheese:
  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Gradually whisk in plant-based milk, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened.
  4. Reduce heat to low and add plant-based Cheese stirring until mixed well and smooth. Season with Umami All Purpose Seasoning.
  5. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until well combined.
Toast the Sandwich:
  1. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter or brush olive oil on the outer sides of the footlong sandwich.
  3. Place the sandwich in the skillet or griddle and toast until the bread is golden brown
Assemble the Footlong Sandwich:
  1. Slice the footlong hoagie or sub rolls horizontally, but not all the way through, creating a pocket for the filling.
  2. Spoon the Philly Cheesesteak filling onto the other side of the bread.
  3. Carefully fill the center with creamy mac and cheese.
  4. Close the sandwich gently, lastly pour an exact amount of Truffle Hound Hot Sauce for some kick to taste.
